What's this hose?

What is this hose? It's under the car, right side and forward of the transmission. It drains water from somewhere. It's pointed directly at the cardboard skid plate covering the trans, which ends up looking gross.

It drains right on the cardboard skid plate. Won't it, I dunno, disintegrate that panel over time?

It will be fine. You would shit if you looked under a winter driven Canadian car!

The skid plate isn't "cardboard," lol, nor is it a skid plate. Are you suggesting they installed a panel that will disintegrate if you drive the car in the rain?

It's a fiberglass aero panel designed to guide air under the vehicle. It'll be fine. Also, why are you so concerned with a little discoloration on a panel you never see?

The engineers who design parts for cars generally have a pretty good grasp of where they can, and can't, get away with using cardboard.
