Wow, that's amazingly isolated for a collision at that speed. Thank the traction control gods you didn't spin out!

I honestly have no idea what happened. No warning before the collision, that is no honking or tires screeching. Just the impact out of nowhere. I had to get it towed because the tire was rubbing up against the bent frame or panel-- whatever that is. The other car was a small civic.

Yeah, looks to me like they were flying along, not paying attention and tried to change lanes at the last second. Were you in the left or the right lane?

Looks like he swerved at the last moment. Idiot.
Something similar happened to a colleague of mine. His car had been totaled in a flood in normal New Orleans street flooding, so he had just gotten a brand new Honda Crosstour to replace it. He was cruising along at 70 on the interstate out in a rural area on his way to a client's office when BAM out of nowhere some dipshit just ran right into the back of his car. The guy's excuse was that he didn't see my colleague's car because he was late for court. People in general are just fucking stupid. |

Had something similar almost happen to me yesterday. In my case, this guy in a Kia Soul suddenly switched over to my lane and almost ran into the front-right side of the car. I pressed the horn for a few seconds and he kept on coming!
Too many idiots driving everywhere. Glad you are safe though. |
