Currently running a 5700xt on water, I like it a lot.

Finished up my build this weekend. Had to change a few parts from the original list in my previous post due to availability, upgrading the M.2 specs. The first video card I go was DOA so had to return it for a replacement. Swapped out for a different one that had 4x Displayports instead of 2x Display port and 2x HDMI ports. I really need 3x displayports.

Anyway, introducing FireStorm. The benchmarks are my old 2011 vintage modded Dell XPS vs this one. I think it was a good price/benefit build. Pushing the specs any higher would have had a low return.

Still, the Dell was holding it's own given it's nearly a decade old.

Yea, I realized that after I looked at the photo. I'll have to try and take a better one.

Unfortunately the glass is going to be turned against a wall most of the time anyway based on where the tower will sit on my desk. I may have to rethink that but I have limited room.

I did have an odd problem during Windows install. It kept bluescreening on the network drivers. I had to turn them all off in UEFI, let Windows install, then turn them back on.

You could take a picture with the whole side panel removed?

Your network driver bit is indeed odd. I haven't heard of anything like that, but I haven't had to install Windows on anything in quite a while. But good to know it can happen and how to work around it.

Yea, i thought so too, particularly I was doing a clean install with the latest bits downloaded directly from the Microsoft site. Oh well, where's the fun if it all goes right the first time!

Corsair Carbide SPEC-02 Redshift Special Edition

Apparently they were going for the longer name is better. It comes with 3 fans and is tool-less for the most part. The only thing I didn't like is the motherboard tray doesn't pull out separately, but other than that a nice case. You have to like red though as the fans only "do" red.

I primarily picked it because it was the nicest looking one they had that still had an external 5.25" bay as I'm not quite ready to give up my bluray RW drive

@Spuds, I added a photo ^above^ with the side panel off. Still need to do a little cable management, but most everything is tucked away.

Looks good! I assume the drive cage doesn't come fully out?

No, but it doesn't really need to. The top one is for the external bay, and the drive slips in from the front with no tools required. There is an additional 5.25" bay there for a drive you can access by removing the front cover.

The 3.5" bays at the bottom all load from the side.

I don't have any spinning drives in this other than the bluray writer in the top bay, so that wasn't much a concern.
