A wide body kit is what you want. People laugh with you, not at you.

Congratulations on your new ride, I recommend to not impulse buy anything. Each mod may make the ride noiser and or more uncomfortable. And more importantly for me...I want to spend the money actually driving it
![]() That being said the mods I would do are better tires/nice wheels , air filter replacement, I would getting lowering springs if I didn't have to deal with snow. My first modded car I spent a few thousand then said to myself, what did that few thousand actually get me? Take it slow and just enjoy the new car and may be take a nice vacation as well with the mod money ![]() Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk |

![]() First off, is to put premium gas in the car. Then, read the owners manual ...... yes, ALL of it ..... not just how to set the radio. Plan on following the maintenance schedule. Drive it for a few weeks without doing anything to it. Decide how you plan on driving the car; track, spirited canyon carving, DD, or garage queen. Ask yourself, what do you want the car to do better .. ?? You may discover that it is just fine right out of the box. That should get you started ......... ![]() humfrz |

Read about any mod you plan to do. Learn what it does, how it works, discover downsides or potential cons to the modification, listen to what other people say about it, then drive the car for a bit, sleep on it a few weeks, and then, and only then consider buying/performing the modification.
Finally, do not cheap out on the part (you generally get what you pay for, especially with car parts)...it never hurts to just sit back and save money for a bit before going on a spree. |

Grats on the purchase and welcome to the forums! My suggestion would be to read through other peoples builds and see what they've done. You may find some inspiration there.
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=40 Have a good ponder around what you want the car to become moving forward. Its good to have a vision in mind and then research what parts you need to get there.

There aren't any mods you "should" do, either.

Big turbo, e85, crappy tune and a leaf bag to catch the parts as they exit your car. Jk. Lol. Dont buy anything that hasn't been debugged by others.

Good exterior mod would probably be stuff like head light and tail lights. They're simple to put on if you watch diy on YouTube or other source. Than wheels and tires. Than maybe dropping it with coilover to go with those wheels. Than ride it for a while more and maybe a body kit to your liking to match wheel and ride height. One thing at a time. Maybe when you exterior is all set start looking into performance
