Red is correct!. MK60 and MK60E1 are pretty well plug and play with these cars, I expected it to be far more complicated. The AIM worked perfect for the abs light and for the ground control for the brake switch using no external relays or resistors for either, canbus protocol with the aim and mk60 is spot on, haltech functions perfect with the direct wheel speed outputs on the mk60 as well. Overall, very pleased.

Do you do this, or similar work professionally? I am truly amazed at your craftsmanship.

This is high art.

Thanks Ultra, I appreciate that. Yes, but I use the word professionally loosely Thats also why my personal projects are always behind.

Some more progression!

My ring filer broke so I had to wait for a new one, but all is well again. Waiting for a few odds and ends to show up but were close now!

My philosophy for personal projects is that without a schedule, one can never be behind it. Each step is its own project to be completed with care. That's what I sense from your work. Nothing I've done comes anywhere close to the scope of your project here. Respect.

So close! should be starting it in a day or two. Would have fired it up sunday but someone stepped on my timing light and ripped the cord out of the end new one arrived yesterday.

Diff pump primed perfect, no leaks and appears to be happy at 3 quarts total. Trans is full and awaiting to be ran, holds 4 quarts but i'm betting were at 5.5 with the cooler assembly. Engine spins over smoothly and makes 51 psi on the starter, no leaks anywhere which made me extremely happy. Just need to set base timing and were ready!

She lives! Still need to sort some things and get the windows in this week but over all she is pretty well done. Still deciding on livery/numbers.

After getting some more time and sorting through some transmission issues - input shafts are different between tr6060's, 2010-2015 have full splined and 2016-2024 are missing a little over an inch, just enough to not engage the secondary disc on a dual clutch which makes one hell of a racket! we then made it down the road and off to the dyno! but that had to be a challenge as well

2010-2015 input shaft

2016-2024 input shaft

all cleaned up and unloading for the dyno

So, a few things on the power so far....... soft rev limter pulls timing 400 rpm before rev limit, so it flops over on the end. I have it set at 7500 for now and will explore the upper rpm next time, i suspect it will peak about 76-7800 and ill carry it out to about 8200 if thats the case but we will see.

Next time you say? Yeah, throttle body died. Tried struggling through trying to make the st4 power level but it kept having correlation issues (used throttle body) and would hang at like 3k rpm and or become disabled completely. Did a few WOT pulls to get an idea of what it can do and called it quits since that wasn't going well either. So I took my ball and went home, did a compression check, leak down and oil change while we wait for the new part. She checks out great and will be ready to finish next time!

a couple dyno runs!

full power pull

st4 power pull

and where we are power wise for now....

What a build. Amazing. Log your hours on this?
Let me know when it's for sale.

Though, having wrecked 2 cars in the past on track, I will never attempt a $$$$$$ build like this. W2W is very unpredictable. I've seen cars smash into walls because of an oil leak from an another vehicle up front.

You bet, log everything!
This one won't be for sale for at least 6 or so years, I race them for a while before building something else and this one I did a little more than usual as I wanted a lot of cool toys to play with this time. Like I tell everyone else, I'll gladly build you one or whatever kind you like! haha
"Things" happen in racing but as usual I'll fix it and go again, been there done that many times before. It's Just metal and paint. All part of the game we love.

Not much being done on this at the moment, just patiently waiting for the snow to go away so I can get back to the dyno to finish up. I have been though working on small things as I get time between cars such as adjusting pedals/hydraulics, pdm programming and finishing chassis reinforcements such as the front strut bar, nothing hugely exciting but its progress.
I did also get the new throttle body on and got to drive it around for an hour just before the snow hit a while back, abs work's perfect and is surprisingly quite being inside the cabin when activated. Would have kept messing around that day but a sheriff was parked out front of my drive on the last run back to the shop to make some changes, so I figured it was best to park it for the day!

small changes....
