It's an electric ball valve. They are a little bigger, but they work better IMO than a solenoid style control (seals better, isn't energized constantly in its open state) now if you want the accusump to have a controlled on/off that's fast then the solenoid is the way to go.

Oil temps wise I normally see 235* to 250* in the pan and about 20* to 30* less after the cooler at the filter adapter. I know the accusump gets hot enough I don't want to touch it after a race but that's as much data on that standpoint that I have. |

Plumbing is coming together, still waiting on some more materials to finalize connections on hoses, insulation wrap and what not but basically, it's all there now.
All of the electronics are now in the car as well other than mounting the rear-view camera. I keep telling myself I'm racing this full season and not just fixing everyone stuff! ![]() ![]() Hard lines will be done in the tunnel once the drivetrain comes back out here probably this weekend. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

More time spent on Lucille. Everything is in the car now and wiring is beginning to spread
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() mounting for the screens on the doors ![]() ![]() So I'll back up a little, a few little things still need to go in such as the 80-amp breaker for the ESP and the canbus hub but other than that it's just stringing wire, looming and terminating now! Wires in the last pic are not final, its just a in progress moment. Spent a little over 5 hours Sunday just working on the software for the pdm and ecu ![]() Firewall wire penetration is via radlok for the main power like the pdm and deutsch bulkheads. Those are installed now but I forgot to take a pic! |

Was the motivation behind going with cameras over mirrors drag reduction or something else? Do you have them tied into a recording system?

Been a little bit since my last post but things are coming along fairly well! Chassis is basically complete other than front and rear windows along with installing some heat sleeving on the accusump line and fuel line in the tunnel.
The aim pdm and haltech ecu are programmed and ready for the new engine to be installed. The MK60 abs works perfect right off the bat, at least with scan tool and pdm verification (something I figured would be a pain). Of course testing on track will be the ultimate determination on all this but signs point to yes. All wiring is complete other than waiting for the penny & giles tps sensor to arrive from competition supplies overseas. FYI -- haltech's hall effect tps will not work with DBW as it does not have the redundancy that DBW requires. Basic summary for now, assembling the engine this week so hopefully firing off soon! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A few little things not shown in these shots such as cowl cover, under car shields and so on but i'll post up completed pics soon! and with a proper bath ![]()

I have been thinking about an mK60 swap, what ABS sensors did you use, and is it an e46 or e90 mk60e5
Thanks Jason |

Stock sensors work with MK60 and MK60E1, E90 M3 front sensors can be shaved down and shimmed up to work for the MK60E5 that requires the directional sensors in the front. MK60E1 is from the Euro 4cyl E90s.
