Also, the Motul website has links to where you can buy stuff for less than $20 bucks per 1L bottle. https://www.motul.com/us/en/products/gear-300-75w90 Just click on the Buy online link and it'll pop a few sites. Currently Bimmers.com has it for $13.95 a bottle. Last edited by Hurricane Nate; 12-02-2021 at 05:19 PM. Reason: Added car |

In October 2022 Motul seems sold out everywhere. I spoke to 86speed customer service and they said it is backordered until 2023.
I have a 2015 BRZ 6MT - can I just buy 4 bottles of this and change both the transmission and rear differential fluids with it? https://parts.stohlmansubaru.com/p/S...A427V1700.html Genuine Subaru Certified High Performance Gear Oil SAE 75W 90, 1 Quart Bottle. Quantity Required: 2.3. Part Number: SOA427V1700 This is my first time changing these fluids, after owning the car since end of 2014 and 40k street miles. I don't do track days, just spirited street driving. Also, anyone happen to have the correct Subaru part numbers for all necessary washers/gaskets? I have had trouble finding those. Thanks in advance! |

If you can't find Motul, why not just run Redline? I have beating on my car for years with it. You can find 75w90 gear and Mt-90 at most box stores. I actually like the MT-90 more then the Motul, I think it shifts nicer and it's easy to get.

I've also have both Motul and Redline in this platform and prefer the Redline.

I use Lucas Oil for trans and diff. We used it in the drift cars for a long time and its been perfect in my personal car as well. +1 for being able to find it at your local parts store as well.
that being said it's very clear you can't go wrong with Motul and Redline |

With Red Line's products, am I understanding this correctly?
For the transmission, MT-90 is 75w90 GL-4, which meets the specifications set by the OEM. For the differential, both 75w90 and 75w90NS are GL-5, which meets the specifications set by the OEM. However, the 75w90NS doesn't have the friction modifiers, which is ideal for the hypoid gear (non clutch-type) differential that's in the car. So, MT-90 for the transmission and 75w90NS GL-5 gear oil for the differential? If I've got this wrong, let me know so I don't confuse any other newbies. |

Which oil to use?
I have a 2015 FR-S
1.0 I think it's called. It's 1109 of 1500 made. TRD package on it. At 100 k miles I figured it's time to change the transmission fluid and rear diff fluid. Besides it's getting harder to shift. I put 75w-140 oil in it (because I had some). now i's harder to shift than before. I want to drain and fill it again with proper oil, but I want quality oil. Something that will help it shift smoother than it used to. What kind of oil do you recommend for it? For the transmission and diff? I found Redline MT-90 on Amazon. But I also hear you guys talk about Amsoil, and / or Motul 300. And for the Diff ![]() A little confused. I drive the car pretty hard, like stole it! Hard corners and high freeway speeds. I also have problem wi tire squirm; anybody heard of that? This is my first post Anything helps, Thank you very much! |

I can't find the original gaskets. I found these replacement gaskets for the transmission and differential. Is this correct?

I just had my trans and diff fluid flushed and replaced with Redline. Man what a difference the MT-90 made in smoothness. Highly recommended.
