And all along I thought you drove an automatic because the MT has 6 speeds and you have only 4 fingers plus a thumb on one hand .......

Op, I feel your pain except I have a problem with my achilles heel. When I get caught in Manhattan stop-and-go traffic in my daily (manual NA Miata) I get a lot of discomfort in my left foot. I just try to open up the gap with the car in front so that i can just crawl in first gear and minimize clutch use.
That being said, whenever I drive my AT FRS hard, Im always impressed at how quickly (.3 of a second) I can "change" gears; gotta love that Rev-Match feature! I love manuals as much as the next enthusiast but it's 2015 and autos are not what they were. These autos despite not being dual clutch, still shift faster than any human and give you full control of your gears. Some say its more fun pressing a clutch to change gears, I say in a modern car...it feels archaic. |

OP, why don't you just test drive a new vehicle to see if your used one is functioning as designed. It's free and doesn't require a physical over the internet

You can actually still do that. Back in the day...(early 00's) my friends who were into car shows(rice), they would take their cars to mexico to get $450-500 full interior wrapped in vinyl. Full interior! headliner, dash, pillars, seats, door panels, rear deck. It would only take a day, and 10 dudes would work on your car.
