Courtesy Door Light Help

I'm having an issue with my courtesy light door staying on. I just noticed it last night while driving as I couldn't tell what was so bright at the bottom of the door. I tried opening and closing the door several times incase it was slightly open but it still stayed on. I tried removing the LED bulb several times and changing it out with a new one and still had the same issue. Finally, I removed the negative battery terminal for about a minute to let everything reset and take away power and it was still there. Any thoughts or ideas that may help me troubleshoot this would be greatly appreciated!

PS. Haven't had the chance to test with normal bulb. My driver side light remains off as well as other LED components.

Its a known problem. I have the same issue after going to LEDs. A BIU replacement is probably required, but take out the LEDs before you go to the dealership.

Here and here.

Agree with milhouse completely. After the warranty replaces the biu, make sure you unplug the light next time before switching the bulb...!

Basically what everyone else has said so far. Take the LED's out, take it to the dealership and have them replace the BIU. If you choose to put them back in after the BIU is fixed, disconnect the courtesy light assembly and DON'T use anything conductive (ex. screwdriver) to remove the light bulb! Doing this and then plugging it back in should save you from blowing the BIU. I've had my LED's in for around 7-8 months now and had no issues! Hope this helps and Good luck!
