I removed the bumper and everything under it and seem like no major damage. The tow hook took all the impact and ripped out of place almost

Yep, the "skid hook" did its thing and protected the undercarriage.

Back-in-the-day, the wagons had skid rails underneath to protect the wagon ..... when they crossed streams ..........

I looked it up on google street view. Pretty crazy. No warning signs whatsoever, and at the ends the road looks like a pretty normal though narrow road.

That is more of a really long laneway than a road! Holy crap that section that took out Z is bad. My lowered car would have had the front ripped right off it at anything more than 5mph.

The fog light bezels both fell out , grill bottom portion popped off, all bumper undercarriage stuff was popped off also. The only thing that saved it was the bounce from the wheels. I think if I would've slammed on the brakes in the middle of it the situation would've been worse. Like you said if I was lowered It would been very bad.

So is a laneway required to have signs ?

Here we get a crack in the road they have a bump sign up. I didn't se a single sign of any type on that whole road. Not even a speed limit one. The location of that spot right on a curve and at the bottom of a dip makes it even worse.
Nasty stuff.

According to my real estate sources, Dale Road is a PRIVATE road.

Therefore it would be exempt from any federal/state/county/local markings.

It would be up to the adjacent landowners to maintain the road.

Apparently they think that stream running across the road is quaint.

Maybe they want it that way to keep the low riders from cutting across.......
