Well, if that were the case, why would he want to cover it? Those things could sit out in the elements for 100 years before they would rust -

@Tcoat

Bought my first model kit in a few years. Not that I need anymore, have a basement already full of unbuilt kits.

It is actually a Tamiya TT02 based RC car that I plan to dress up as a static model because I'm a bit tired of tiny 1/48 and 1/24 cars that cost too much. Looking forward to the lexan experience.

I'm running through a tank of 10% toluene with 92 octane. If I got my numbers right, it's supposed to be a little over 94 octane, which is allegedly the sweet spot for the factory tune. The difference is noticeable enough that I'm bummed about going back to 92.

So, how much do have to pay for a gallon of toluene?

Why do you all not get 93 again?

Brings to mind a back-in-the-day story when I bought this can of toluene. It sat on my shelf for a few years until a couple weeks ago when I finally remembered to add only enough to fill it to nine gallons...

It was way more trouble/expense than it's worth. That's the main reason against making it a regular thing.

I've used acetone in a pinch before. I don't remember the mixing ratio though, was a long time ago.

I have to drive an extra 3 blocks to get 94. It is a rough life.
