New goodie! Dezod dual exhaust (NOW with PICS)

The experience:
Well, I ordered on 2/21 with being told ETA was 5/31. I was OK with waiting for this exhaust as it seemed, look and sounded different (for the better) than the other exhausts on the market. Fast forward, to June (1st week). I called them and spoke to someone whom said it would be another few weeks, offered some "freebies" and said shipment would occur the first week in July (3 weeks later) due to some production issue. First week in July, the shipment was released and it arrived yesterday with a free set of Dezod brake lines for waiting. (SCORE!)

The product
This thing came in a normal large sized box with some paper packed well around it in every facet. The complete exhaust was really well wrapped in bubble wrap and all of the exhaust hangers where foam wrapped too. The entire assembly was very well wrapped and even the tips where meticulously wrapped too. A+ there. AND I must say unwrapped, the thing is pretty damned light. So light, that my wife whom is 100lbs soaking wet, picked up a piece and was like "gee this is light".

As I am unwrapping the exhaust, I am inspecting all of the bends and they are smooth and butter. True mandrel for sure and no exhaust shop custom crushes. All of the welds are ridiculous! These guys can weld. I mean I can weld a little, but there dudes have some skills. Fab work is top notch everywhere on the item (mufflers, y split, hangers etc). I mean A++. My buddy was like "damn somebody was working the hell out of that tig welder there."

I like the amount of hangers and how they utilized them on the system. The mufflers are an "x" design bracing and there is also a brace on the midpipe too. It has a HUGE resonator which is good for the constant city driving I do as the cops are horrible around here.

Fitment and impressions
Fitment was like a glove. Perfect in every facet. I have zero negative or anything at all even remotely negative to say about that. Sound is super clean. It's crisp and sophisticated for lack of better adjectives. It's an adult toy (almost exotic sound) compared to some of the other exhausts I have heard. There is ZERO drone at 65mph on the thruway. I mean the only time it seems be "loud" by my standards is when you are WOT. Other than that, I have gotten 2-3 compliments already about the sound of it from various folks including a 70 year old man. LOL!

Conclusion? GET ONE! You will love it. (link for the lazy)

I will get some pics from my camera as my ancient work phone takes horrible pictures. Stay tuned

They are about 4.5". Really not too large in my opinion. Very appropriately sized considering the valance openings. Perrin is 4" in tip and this is only 0.5" larger.

You know these guys? I am very impressed with it thus far.

My buddy snapped some photos while we where installing the parts and I am meeting up with him over the next few days. I will post his pics.

I don't know them personally but theyre well known within the Scion tC community on scionlife. They had an awesome turbo kit for that platform. I had a friend who had the kit and hes put over 70k miles on it and still doing fine.

Dezod is a solid company and makes solid products for Scion. Especially for the tC. I followed them on scionlife.com for over 3 years before getting my FRS. Exactly what LivingLegend said... they are very well known on that forum.

Paul @ Dezod helped me out a lot with my 2001 Civic when they were located down here. They used to make turbo kits for that model. He was a big help with tuning and getting it to run right. Very good guy/company. Glad they are making products for the twins.

Seems like they have a great track record and I can now vouch for that as well.

Here are some of the pics Chris took before we installed this beast in my driveway. Enjoy.

I have had a few people PM me about sound levels of this exhaust and let me say that it's pretty quiet unless you go WOT or are pretty deep in throttle. It's very tame and adult friendly. It's not 17 year old fart can loud by any means. This is what is needed around where I live because the cops are ALWAYS out give exhaust tickets. I don't even turn one cop head right now cruising at all. (Just the way I like it).
