I may have gotten it.
I do have a question for Unichip users. I get that 87, 89, and 92 is the octane and i am currently going to try one in 89 and one in 92. My question is when I go into 89 it comes up with list Fuel In Fuel Out Fuel Standard What is the difference? I can only choose 2 and just want to do it right. I then have a question when I choose fuel out it has the timing list, again what is the difference here? |

standard is just that, a standard map.
in vs. out means it's either adding more fuel/timing or pulling fuel/timing. I would try them all and see which one feels best to you |

IMO, don't mess with fuel/timing unless you have a wideband gauge at the very minimum, ideally a wideband and dyno.

Hey guys, ok got it installed and loaded two maps. First was 89, Normal timing, Normal fuel, and did the Airaid intake with exhaust.
Second map was identical except for 92 instead of 89. I really didnt notice any type of performance upgrade. Did I maybe do the wrong type of map? |

1) Playing with tunes without a wideband and dyno is very dangerous
2) It takes about 10hp to be noticeable from behind the wheel, which is a big gain to get from small tweaks. If you're going to play with this stuff you NEED to get a wideband and tune it on a dyno.

Without a wideband and dyno you're really just shooting blind... all that matters is if you're happy with it though.

Im pretty sure jack from unichip said that all the different combos and map variances were safe!! Must not be a big differnce from standard to fuel out timing in!! Thats what i hnderstood from his posts anyways
