Granted I haven't really contacted my dealer either.

Dealer says no updates, eta still Dec 15th. Doing some prep and cleanup for my FRS so I can get a trade in value, hopefully I get something better than Carvana offered. 109k miles left quite a lot of damage to the bumper.

I was looking at a new car to DD since my Z3 is 23 years old and needs some stuff addressed. We went to the dealer and placed my order I originally wanted a premium in CWP but he ended up picking out the Sapphire blue and I went with that. He was more excited about the car getting here than I was. On Oct 30th he died from a fatal car accident, it sucked a lot to not have them there when I picked the car up.
My condolences Nikolai,

Yeah it was just a matter if I could qualify with a lower down payment but with no car credit in my name directly, I couldn't get a finance deal that justified the max monthly payment I could be lent for. Even with a mortgage, Car Credit is just its own beast.

Hope the car gives you good memories of your friend and that it is a memento of the support you had for the car. My friends who are waiting to get their financial situation sorted out too have been following the car as long as I have too, so it only shows when people share good opinions of what the car means to them.

Hopefully the East Coast starts seeing their cars come in soon. The VIN for the car I had reserved apparently arrived 3 weeks ago, so if you have your VIN it should hopefully have an ETA within the month.

Went to the dealer today just to show my fiancé one of the employee’s cars and saw they had my BRZ on the showroom floor - pretty pissed they didn’t tell me it had arrived and they washed + put dealer badge on it when I told them expressly not to do it. At least it was locked but frustrated nonetheless. Now they’re dragging their feet getting the STI stuff added - I’ll have pics to post tomorrow afternoon with a crystal white peal with all STI accessories (external).

Thankfully I took delivery of the car a couple nights ago I put 7K down and this is the first car I've ever had to finance, the payment I could afford thank god but I know its going to be a new experience having to pay for the car.

It’s a real mix of fury and excitement - it looks UNREAL in person. Pictures cannot conceptually capture the rear wheel arches to the trunk. Crazy. I got them to promise me some extras and I’m gonna haggle $500 off MSRP when I go in.

So my window sticker says: Subaru Starlink Safety Plus - 3 years free.

My dealer’s pricing sheet has Starlink - $75

Have any of you noticed? Is it the same thing and the dealer is trying to squeeze $75 out of me?

There is a level above that of starlink that gives you more options like being able to start your car if it is an auto. Maybe that is what they are giving you for the extra 75.

It's probably the Starlink activation fee.

Going out to pick it up around lunchtime today.
