Visibility at night during rain
Anyone else having trouble with visibility at night during rain, with the stock headlights and reflections from street lamps off their wind shield?
I'm finding at night during rain that the projectors suck and street lamp light reflecting off the wind shield can cause a brief loss of visibility. |

highly agree
it was my biggest complaint as I do a lot of night driving and really do like to be able to look ahead. I highly suggest retrofitting HIDs into the headlight housings. I just finished doing mine 2 days ago and the difference is amazing. Still need to correctly level them but here a basic idea of how it looks during night time

Yah I had my wind shield Opti-Coat, but this is the first time I've experienced the loss of visibility in a car.

most people don't realize that the number one cause of glare is a dirty windshield... use a good glass cleaner (not windex) and thoroughly clean your windshield inside and out... that will REALLY help...
also, i use aquapel and i have even less issues with rainy night time visibility... i don't use my wipers much either, unless i'm at a standstill...

^ ditto on the aquapel. I'm sure opti-coat or other good coatings work similarly but its important to have a streak free windshield to avoid that glare

Just to add; make sure your wipers are clean too... Otherwise you'd be wiping dirt all over your windshield which creates those streaks.

Haven't noticed any difficulty myself. I have horrible night vision and the HID's have been a godsend for me.

I actually find the projectors way better than any other car that I have driven with the exception of our Toyota Sienna.

HIDs in the stock housing aren't bad either crazy604 has them in his and they don't glare up too bad. I however would still recommend modding the squirrel finder if you plan to go this route. Just a nice thing for others on the road
