I don't really think Hankook would go for that. If I was in Korea maybe I would try. But I'm not.
Funny thing is, I was working in Korea a few years ago and would pass the Hankook factory everyday on the way to work.

Most tires will have a warranty, if you bought them new I would check with who you bought them from/through. But anyway, tires are clearly no good, replace them! I lived with my Michelins for too long after they'd gone BAD (still had half tread depth) and had an "incident" Not worth it!

Really and truly. I can't believe it either that I've managed to keep the car on the road and not hit any curbs, rocks or anything for 182,000 miles.
This is the first car I've ever owned that hasn't had uneven tire wear at one time or other. And I've owned alot of cars.

I'll probably slide sideways over a curb and knock my wheels off this afternoon now.

That's the advantage to running wider tires.
(You don't slide sideways over a curb and knock your wheels off).

You're complaining about tire performance, but have never had an alignment? Has it at least been checked? Tires wearing evenly does not inherently mean your alignment is good.

That's like complaining you aren't getting mail, but never checking your mailbox.

Common misconception, but all-seasons are not better in the wet vs. summer tires. The best max-perf summer tires will generally have more wet grip than the best UHP A/S tires. So will Extreme Perf summer tires, but those will have less hydroplaning-resistance.

Most important thing is to check test results (preferably) or customer survey results at TireRack.com to see how specific make/model tires do for wet grip.

As far as the size goes, I swapped tires with my GTI the second day I had the car. For some Falken 235's. The Prius tires are still on the GTI. Too bad I couldn't just swap wheels. The lug pattern is the same but the hubs are different.

most relevant part of this is when you installed the tires, because if you installed it last month and the tires are old stock at a tire shop, it may very have been left out in the elements too long.

Try AS3+ if you will go all season again. Michelin AS3+. A sound tire overall.

Curious, why 235/45/17 on stock wheels? Stocks are 215/45/17. I suspect running wider rubber on skinnier wheels will mess up your lateral traction and might even be dangerous?
Guarantee this plus your alignment is causing the issue. Either get some 17x8 wheels to put these 235's on or get a new tire with the correct 215 size. Im sure you can get away with some 225's but 235's I wouldnt at all.

I have no experience to measure against since these Concept2s came with my car and my only other experience is a set of 245 RS4s.

But the lack of wet traction on my Concept2s is laughably, terrifyingly fun. Unless I actually need to accelerate and get out of someones way in which case I absolutely hate these things.
