Start up Blinking engine light
Hey wondering if any1 can shed some information if this is normal behaviour or not . On start up car engine light blinks once and remains off I don’t recall it ever doing this, the blink part . Car is tuned via ecutek and no codes are present . Why would it be doing this . Video link attached any help would be appreciated 2020 brz ts turbo ECUtek tuned . Pre sure on other start up vids it doesn’t blink once. Is this an ecutek thing TIA

Completely normal. If you feel unsettled about that, just run the EcuTek and clear the DTC codes

It doesn't blink in that video. @DatBrzQ60 did someone reprogram your gauge cluster? I see you're in Australia and I'm not sure if the programming is different over there or not. I would hook up a code reader and see if it pulls any codes, if not, I'd just move on. |

Just tuned with ecutek , yeah prob moving on car doesn’t present any codes and data logs look alright . Just thought something might’ve caused it as I’ve never seen it blink usually just starts up like in the vid you posted with no blinking .

I run ECUTek. I was tuned by Delicious Tuning and my engine light will do a couple flashes about every 30 seconds until the car is warmed up. The info from ECUTek says that this is the notice that VVTi is not ready until warmup. (If I recall correctly)

Is yours similar to mine where it blinks and then turns off on start up? Mine just does it when starting the car otherwise during driving operations it never comes on .

No, not exactly. Mine does it when it first starts but also does it for a few minutes until the car is completely warmed up.
