Auto carwash with aftermarket wheels?

Question in the title. Can you take aftermarket wheels through an auto carwash or will it noticeably damage it? Does it depend on brand? I have black Enkei Raijins.

Don’t use an automatic car wash ever. Use ONR or Ammo Frothe if you cannot wash using the 2 bucket method.

Auto car washes are illegal. Use a semi-auto car wash.

Depends on where you live, and how much money you have.

If you have 245s on 8" wheels, probably OK.
If you have 225s on 9" wheels, lip is vulnerable to curbs, steel carwash rails, etc.... How is this not obvious?
