RCE Tarmac 2 CLUBSPORT and RCE Tarmac 0 coilovers available now
Racecomp Engineering has paired with the renowned suspension manufacturer KW Suspensions to bring new and truly customized coilover options to market for the Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S.
Racecomp Engineering and KW Suspensions have been working together since 2006 to produce the RCE Tarmac line of coilovers for Subaru Impreza and Legacy, claiming an SCCA STU National Championship in a Subaru STI equipped with RCE Tarmac 2 coilovers. Following an 8 month research and development process that included extensive track testing and over 10,000 test miles on multiple vehicles, Racecomp Engineering is proud to release the Tarmac 2 Clubsport and Tarmac 0 coilover systems for the exciting new sports car platform from Subaru and Toyota. Both options are available now. ________________________________________________ RCE Tarmac 2 Clubsport coilovers were developed as a track focused system for both club racers and weekend warriors alike. Based on KW Clubsport coilovers, the valving profiles and spring rates have been modified with cooperation from KW Suspensions from their standard specifications to increase the potential of the Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S on real world American roads and tracks. Refined damping results in a sharper reacting and yet more stable vehicle over bumps. Excellent valving and ample bump travel means mid-corner bumps at the track will not upset the chassis and the ride around town is kept civil. Featuring separate compression and rebound adjustments, the system can be fine-tuned to a driver’s preference or changing track conditions. The result is a coilover that improves grip, builds driver confidence, and lowers lap times. RCE Tarmac 2 Clubsport coilovers come standard with 400 lbs/in springs front and rear, with optional 500 lbs/in and 600 lbs/in configurations available. These coilovers feature KW’s stainless steel INOX coating for excellent protection against the elements and include a limited LIFETIME warranty. * Two adjustable damping (separate compression and rebound adjustments) * Ride height adjustable with a shortened shock body for plenty of bump and droop travel * Stainless steel INOX coated. * Track focused 400/400 lbs/in spring rates (7 kg/mm). * Optional 500/500 and 600/600 rates available. * Limited LIFETIME warranty Last edited by Racecomp Engineering; 06-05-2013 at 01:57 PM. |

RCE Tarmac 0 coilovers utilize the knowledge gained in the RCE Tarmac development process to bring an affordable and comfortable sporting coilover option to the Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S aftermarket.
Damping is pre-set with an emphasis on a sporty yet comfortable ride that is at home on the street, in the canyons, at the local autocross, or at the track. Combined with stock top mounts, this is a quiet “set it and forget it” coilover option that lets a user dial in their preferred ride height and get down to driving and enjoying their ride. RCE Tarmac 0 Clubsport coilovers come standard with 280 lbs/in springs front and rear, with optional spring rates available up to 350 lbs/in. These coilovers feature KW’s stainless steel INOX coating for excellent protection against the elements and include a limited LIFETIME warranty. * Preset damping * Ride height adjustable with a shortened shock body for plenty of bump and droop travel * Stainless steel INOX coated. * Comfortable sport derived 280/280 spring rates. * Optional 350/350lb rates available. * Limited LIFETIME warranty Last edited by Racecomp Engineering; 07-26-2013 at 09:57 AM. |

These are available now, please PM for pricing info (I won't post it here). There will be a separate vendor thread soon.
Glad to answer tech questions in this thread. We are really excited about both of these options and have been working on them hard for the last 8 months. We took our time and are very happy with the result. - Andy |

Congrats guys, these are BEAUTIFUL!
I don't know why anyone would shop elsewhere for quality coilovers that are designed and tested specifically for these cars! All street, all track, or street/track dual use builds; RCE has everyone covered with these!

Yep, this ones are destiny for me. Been waiting and waiting to get a suspension. Was set on RCE yellows, then started looking at other brands coilovers, was SET to get them last week and this one come in the radar.
I will order this week the Tarmac 0's. Bart Scott's voice: " CANT WAIT!".

Thanks guys! Awesome reading stuff like this...makes us proud to be a part of this community. We've been around since 2003 as RCE and hearing positive stuff like this is a great reminder of why we do it.
And thanks FT86 speedfactory! One of our great dealers that knows their way around an FT86! - andy |

Was going to just get some RCE Yellow springs with the stock struts, but the Tarmac 0s look like an even better option...
