Regrets

Anyone regretting their FRS/BRZ yet? I kind of wished I bought a BMW or Mercedes C class instead or the Camaro SS.

Still the car is fun to drive. Just wish it was faster.

I can HONESTLY say NO.. Theres NO other way I would have spent 26k. NOW if I was going to spend 35K I would have gotten a different car.. but For what I paid.. This is the best use of that money.

Turbo? Intake? Exhaust? Tune? Still cheaper than those cars

Honestly, for $35k? I still would have bought this car, and enjoyed upgrading it to my liking (which, well, is exactly what I'm doing). But then again, I've always preferred having a highly personalized cheaper car than something more expensive and stock.

There area lot of supercharger and turbo kits coming out that'll give you more horsepower, if that's your thing, but its incredibly difficult to get a BMW or Camaro down to the weight class of either of the twins; and even then neither of them will be near as nimble. There's a reason this car keeps getting pitted against the Porsche Cayman in road tests: it's because the "small, lightweight, and agile" segment of the car market is kinda lacking at the moment.

My only regret is that I don't have the money yet for a turbo kit.

That is pretty much my story. For several years I had been trying to talk myself into buying a Cayman but I just wouldn't allow myself to spend that kind of money. Then seeing the beginning of the FT 86 I held out hope that this would be the car that would solve my dilemma. As it ended up being a Scion FR-S it does the job admiringly.

OP writes something positive about the FR-S in both the title and the body
gets a few 'thanks' and then edits out the title and body to something negative.
users who still have their 'thanks' in place don't even know about it till later lol
well played but not good enough

I don't even remember because it was so insignificant . Didn't think much of it because it was a generic "i love fr-s" post #4802. Besides, "playa" in the name should give you a rough idea.

No, i don't think i ever will.
The new V6 mustang isn't even half the car this is, and the V6 was a lot of fun.
Sure it could use more power but, i don't really think it needs it. Its fine the way it is. All i wanna do are simply bolt on mods, then when i sell it i put everything back to stock then sell the mods for some extra cash...
