HKS S/C owners, is JR traction fluid safely interchangeable?
I've bought 2 HKS cans over the years and it's ridiculous what they charge. .
Anyone know if it's safe to use the Jackson traction fluid, or if there's really any reason it wouldn't be? Not concerned for warranty. If you are, and want to keep it confidential, PM me. Guidance requested.

I have seen here that the fluids are not interchangeable. It seems you need to buy HKS fluid.

What is different inside a Rotrex centrifugal compressor vs. HKS? I am not aware of anything related to metallurgy, but of course how would I? There is the 1 disengaging roller below 1500 RPMs in the HKS, but again i cant see how a different fluid for similar temps and RPMs can result in catastrophic failure? This is worse than the "tuning fuses" sold to hi-fi buffs. They cost .50 and sell for $200 First one that comes up on the search: https://www.amazon.ca/HKS-12002-AK02.../dp/B01GG22RHE And shipping fluids to Canada narrows down the number of elligable vendors ever since homeland security. It hurts, especially since I've been mostly unemployed for the past 2 years.

I’m not sure either but I’m throwing this out here. Jon Bond Performance is pretty much all knowing (superchargers) I used his fluid in my sprintex. I know they are two entirely different animals , positive displacement versus centrifugal. But as he has been in the business of rebuilding superchargers for many many years and the fact that he is an engineer and a pretty sharp cookie, I’ll bet if you all reach out to him if he doesn’t know the answer he can and will get it. Just food for thought.
