These recent posts leads me to framed questions with no correct yes or no answer.

Is water good for you? Well, it is necessary for life but can cause death. A stupid relative said one should consume 8? cups of water a day. I countered with "a 5 yo sitting in an air conditioned class room should consume as much water as a 100kg worker digging trenches in 35 C heat?" She couldn't give a meaningful reply.
Is sugar bad for you? It is if consumed in excessive quantities. Above I said sugar has medicinal qualities. I suspect some of you might remember I have type one diabetes. Hypoglycemia? Yes please, I'll take what ever flavour of sugar is around.

Water is not a toxin, nor is it toxic. Water is dangerous because of physical phenomenon rather than chemical effects.

Straight up H2O isn’t good for you. As your cells try to reach equilibria with solutes in or out, which way are solutes in the cell going to move when there is just H2O? The same reason you get saline, it’s an osmotic pressure that meets your physiological pressures. Drink tap water.

I've had a bit of a cough and congestion the last couple days, so took a test. Didn't study much, but still passed.

I've had the same thing the past week and a half. Might need to pull out a test tomorrow and do the same thing. Don't feel like cramming for it tonight thought.
