Even the corolla hatch has the C-style of taillight (the light runoff into the hatch door is completely different though)

With hundreds of cars out there, it's almost impossible to not look like something else in some angle to someone.
Let's see how the whole package looks when it's officially revealed...

Aaaaand the C-Class Coupe...

Can we just all agree that the last generation Accord Coupe was smartly designed, lots of people used it as an influence, and it will always be a bit of a classic.

That's what happens when 10 people put a block of wood in a wind tunnel (not exactly but I think you'll get the idea) and a shape evolves. Pretty soon, all cars are going to look the same. The differences will be reputation of build quality, performance, reliability and creature comforts.

It seems that Mercedes design language is copied a lot. I think even Lexus is influencing design, after everyone freaked out about the front grills. And before that Audi was copied. It seems that certain designs are considered weird or ugly, and then a few years later everyone is copying it. Same thing with Bangled BMW’s, designers are STILL copying what he did.
I was reading an old article, I think Car & Driver, introducing the MkIV Supra. They we’re making fun of how busy the rear end looked, pointing out the circles in the tail lights, and of course the wing. And how Toyota copied Ferrari on some of the other design elements. Now the Supra is considered one of the best looking cars of the 90’s, and I agree. It doesn’t have a million creases and vents and angles like modern cars.

I agree, the front half seems very accurate though I don't think they got the rear panels and trunk quite right based on what we've seen with the test cars. The others don't really match up at all.

Yeah I think they used the current car for the render. I believe the white one was the only one that was actually rendered from the test car.
