Wheel Fitment Issues. Need help.
First thing I know of the fitment thread and have spent alot of time on it. Ive used the fitment calculator too. Im posting as a last ditch effort to understand.
I bought some 18x9.5 +45 wheels and eibach pro kit springs. Now according to the will-it-fit calculator I should be 6mm into the spring perk without any spacers. But im not. I got the springs on and decided to test fit the wheels by bolting them on and lowering down on a block of wood to see them with full weight. This where Im getting confused they are not 6mm into the spring perk but about 5mm away from it without any spacers and with the 10mm spacer I had it was about an inch of poke. The wheel seems more like a 35mm than a 45mm according to https://www.ft86motorsports.com/wheelitfit/. I went back and double checked the wheel measurements from the listing I bought them from, the box they came in, and the wheels them selves. They are 45mm. Its not the end of the world that I may not need spacers but everything Ive read or seen say a 45mm offset should not fit. So its worrying to me since I like to measure twice and do it once. Am i missing somthing? Last edited by hay_frs; 04-06-2020 at 01:16 AM. Reason: Grammar |

The wheel may clear but once you have a tire on it won't, I just did this today at my shop, I have a 17x9 +45 wheel and was putting on a 245 tire, and everything fit before hand but when I put the tires on the tire dug into the strut there, luckily I had my spare set of wheels and tires there. The whole spacer thing is slightly confusing on these cars haha

You will need spacers or coilovers to make those wheels fit. With springs and 10mm spacers, you won't be able to add much camber, so they will poke.
Coils are the only way to get them cambered enough to tuck the top of the tire.

245/35/18 is OEM diameter. I would suggest this size. (I assume you are installing spacers on the front.)
