Lightbulb Taking apart Valenti tail lights :)

So the other day I was trying to take apart my Valenti tails to attempt and swap out the red LED boards for the DRLs with some RGB ones I got off amazon and accidentally broke the lens. For anyone else trying this, baking them does not help. You have to cut the lens off and put it back together with some sealing or silicone caulking or something. I was dumb enough not to think of this option, hence I now have two tail lights with no lens.

But that got me thinking... do they need them?
And off I went on my little DIY attempt to make them RBG and all without needing a lens. So what I did was take the board out and the lights completely apart, and painted the plastic gloss black. I then tinted the reflector (still works tho don’t worry) and when I began putting the LED boards (for the turn and brake light) in I put some silicone sealant around them so they should be relatively watertight. I then did the same with the rest of the parts until there was no possible way any cracks would be found and leaked into. I’m currently waiting on the LED strip I’m replacing the board with, and if you guys want to hear more let me know or if you have any questions hmu. pics show what they look like at the moment, they haven’t gone back onto the backing of the lights yet since I’m waiting for the LEDs first, they should come tomorrow. I’m also including a pic of what I’d like to do with my Vland headlights, sort of the same sealing process as far as I’ve heard.

Hey, how did this turn out, having them now for a year? I'm trying to fix some LEDs on mine and would like to open them up for paint, as well.

Thanks!
