Jack Spots?

Where have you guys been putting the jacks at? On the passenger side I can use the frame rails. But the drivers side has the plastic skid plate on the frame rail covering it.

Also jack stands I didn't really see a ideal spot to put them at.

Jackstands go in the same spot as almost every other modern car, between the two half moons on the other rocker joint/whatever it's called near the outside of the cars.

Rear center jack point = diff

Front center jack point is normally the subframe, but it's covered.. soo.. not sure.

I never use the frame rails, I've seen far too many bend in.

I would not use the frame rails to jack the car. For putting the jack stands, yes I believe that is an acceptable location.

Looking through the manual last night, the front has a cross member piece that has a circle on it. From the front view, it almost looks like:

Code:
|xxx|------| |-----|xxx|
|xxx|------\o/-----|xxx|
|xxx| ^ |xxx|
            |
           Here
I believe there is something similar in the rear. I remember on the Si, the rear tow hook was the jacking point!

EDIT: Yes, it is the differential in the rear. As uneasy as that makes me.. I suppose it's solid and can handle the weight.

Back end isn't that heavy so I assume the rear diff is just fine. The front is what spooks me. I see the spot they are talking about, but I hesitate. Will take this one slowly.

Is there some kind of pad you put between the jack stands and the jack point? At a quick glance, the jack point was just coated a little heavier than the rest of the underside…
