It'll run on regular, just like every modern engine. But yes I have no doubt premium is "recommended" for peak power and mpg efficiency.

I could not possibly care less about weight since 99% of my driving is commuting on a highway and it really makes no difference how much the car weighs.

I think Nissan is making a big mistake making base and sport so far apart.... but most people will go for it and just stretch out the loan to 72 or 84 months

I don’t even like the weight of a passenger or a full tank of gas. I got in a Jetta, and it might have well been a Lincoln Continental. I think the 86 is too big and heavy most of the time, as it is. The new Z would probably feel like a boat after being in the 86. No thanks. 700 more pounds…thats like driving with three 200lb adults in the car, groceries and a full tank. Ugh.
If was highway commuting 99% of the time then I would own a soft ride in a luxury or premium vehicle. Low noise. Low vibration. Comfortable. Safer. More features. That’s just me though.
