Climate control backlight fuse/relay location

Hi everyone,

I have a 2015 FR-S base and was installing a set of Spyder fog lights this weekend and ran into a bit of an issue. I hooked the switch power wire up to the purple wire on the factory fog light plug harness. I was poking around to see which wire turned on the fog light indicator on the dash and I must have shorted the purple wire and blew a fuse. The purple wire is now dead (lost the 12v signal) and I lost the backlight on several things: dash light brightness adjuster, VSC sport and trac buttons, and climate control knobs. Everything works they just don't light up, all other dash lights are on and the white wire on the fog light harness that runs the dash fog light indicator still has 12v. I couldn't find a fuse that was blown in the fuse box. Is there a hidden fuse or relay that I blew and need to replace? The manual doesnt cover these lights/fuse unless it is embeded in another fuse or relay.

Thanks for the help

Well that isn't good!
There are some under the hood but they are more the heavy duty stuff.

Found the 'second' fuse box. Didn't know it was there, found the fuse all good again.

I know this is an old post but I recently ran into the same exact problem, where is the "second" fuse box and what fuse did you change?

Open hood. Box is right in front of left hand strut. That big flat black thing.

He hasn't logged in in over a year so I doubt you will get an answer. The first part of your question was "where is the fuse box?" I answered that part. The second part of your question was "which fuse". That one you are not likely to get an answer on so my best reply is the blown one. Grab your manual and look at the fuse layout and you can rule out the obvious ones to reduce your search.

I'm reviving this thread because I also can't find a blown fuse for the console buttons backlighting... I've pulled 5 fuses that seemed like it could be a fit for the console backlighting but all the fuses were fine... this one man seems to have the answer but he has dissapeared from the forum after fixing his issue lol

There are two fuse boxes. One in the engine bay (the obvious black box), and one that's mounted upside down in the interior, right above the hood release latch.

I've checked both boxes but no fuses were burnt... I'd start pulling random fuses at this point but I don't want to pull something important out lol
