Not too happy about this:

The driver side isn't as bad as the passenger, but they both still bug me. I can't seem to get them to go in any further.

Next up is the turn signals and the tail lights.

man Tomei makes such quality products, I'd be happy with either of those headers, too bad they don't make a Turbo Mani, like the build so far!

I ordered the Nameless 5" muffled Track Pipe yesterday. I am hoping that won't take long to ship out. I also plan on ordering the header and mid pipe in the next couple weeks. I have a track day in september I am wanting to go too. The header and tires(still deciding if I want to try and change tires) should net me some good gains. Right now the brakes are WAY over powering the stock tires haha.

I had heard that the crash beams could be removed with no ill-effect to the structural rigidity of the car. They also weight about 20lbs each. So I took the front one off last night and went for a spirited drive this morning. I didn't notice any difference, although I am on stock suspension and tires. I am going to wait a bit and then re-install it to see if I feel any difference. I was also able to get the bumper to fit right

Great build man! And from the pictures above you seem to be using your 86 quite nicely :p

Love how these cars look.

I ordered the LED's to swap the HVAC and Gauge cluster to blue(White needles and Numbers). I will also try to swap all the other red LED's to blue as well. I need to dig into the stock radio to see if I can change them from amber to blue.

Edit: Ordered some translucent blue vinyl to make the "tick marks" blue as well. A horribly late after thought came over me and I made another order for LED's, this time 0805 Bright Red(Hyper Red according the product sheet) SMD LEDs. My plan is to wire two of them to the stock shift light. When the shift light goes off, it lights the RPM needle red. Very much hoping it works out.

Ever sense the RallyX I have needed to clean My engine bay, though I haven't been able to due to the retrofit leaving a giant hole in my headlight. So I ran to lowes and picked up 1 1/4 pipe end:

Swapping over the LEDs I had to take the door panels off, and I just left them off for now. It's amazing how much of a sound insulator they are.

Ebay LED vs Mouser:

I have since painted the bottom a flat white to disperse the light better

(cold start, thats why rpms are high)

How is the dash with night vision? The photo makes it appear very bright. It definitely looks cool. I am also curious about the huge wheels on your list, planning on FI?

It is bright, but that is what the dimmer switch is for. I had it all the way up, which even with the stock dash was a bit too bright for me. Turned down, it is just hard getting used to blue from red haha. Same thing happened on my Saab when I switched the needles to white instead of orange.

Maybe in the future I will, but the wheels were selected because they gave me the biggest possible contact patch at only 1 pound more per corner vs stock. Which is a lot less than a lot of people are running for a lot less tire. I am still debating on if I am actually going to run them though. I am thinking about switching to 17x8 or 18x8 with a 225. Not sure yet. this build log will get changed quite frequently. I have already switched a lot of the parts, and added a bunch of parts.

Update: Still waiting on my Nameless Track Pipe to be made. Sucks as they pushed lead time from 2 weeks to 6 weeks due to all the orders they have received lately.

Gutted the cat in the header, and replaced the mid pipe cat(wasn't planning on it, but the guy said why not. it was already all apart, might as well)
