I LOVE the secret spy room. It's my favorite part of Ho's house!

We call it "unique" . The house originally had open beam rafters above the 3 car garage. A previous owner turned it into a really cool bonus room. The ceiling follows the roof lines.

Ahhh, that makes more sense. Whoever did the drywall had fun with that. Was causing me angst just thinking about having to do it.

Sub panel in place in the attached garage.
Ready to start separating garage wiring off house circuits and add welder plugs.

When I finish with the garage I will have replaced all of the electric in the house and workshop (well, except the underground line that feeds the former pool pump house turned garden shed)(the pool was removed before we bought the house ).

The sub-panel in the garage is actually the panel I removed from the house when I upgraded to a 200A service.

Got closer to having the hole dug and the first stretch of retaining wall built for a barn side parking area.

After getting a ridiculous bid to have my plum tree thinned out, I said screw that! Instead I buckled down last night and got a Google degree in arboriculture. So, with my degree in one hand, a pole saw in the other, I set out this morning to get the job done.

What do you think?

Pruning for aesthetics or fruit?
Looking good.
Will be easier to harvest if you bring it down lower.
The fruit at the top will be all over the lawn later.

Can prune out about 1/4 of the canopy in a year.
Brush pile +1.

I honestly don't know what kind of tree it is. I had one guy call it a flowering crabapple. The little fruit it produces look more like little plums to me. None of us have been willing to eat one. Had another guy call it something else. Can't remember.

Whatever it is, it is my favorite tree on my property and want to keep it healthy.
