Anyone with a 23' order heard their car is built?

My order for a 23' BRZ was placed April 7th. I got a call from my dealer last week saying the car is built and he told me to expect it in the next 8-9 weeks.

Meanwhile, I’m waiting for my 22 to be built for a June 2022 delivery date. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You're almost there though! Probably will be one of the last ones as well.

I ordered my 2023 on April 19th. Just talked to my dealer about 2 weeks ago and my estimated delivery date moved up from November to August. No word on VIN yet, he told me it’s about a month out when he gets the VIN.

That's my hope! I think it would be kind of cool to have one of the last ones to roll off the line.

Ordered mine on April 26th and don't have an ETA yet. Hoping that this changes soon, doesn't seem like my dealer has a whole lot of information available to them.

2023 MY cars arriving earlier than expected? Are these cars just an extension of the 2022 MY production line? In the first quarter of 2017 I ordered a new motor home. It was built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis manufactured in the last quarter of 2016 and when it was finally completed, it apparently missed the allocation numbers for the 2017 model year, so it was designated as a 2018 model year RV even though it was 100% outfitted using the 2017 catalog. A 3% price hike was added to the base price of the RV, but not to the add-on features. I could not complain as the 2018 catalog was gutted as to trim costs at the factory. Anyway, regardless of what year is on the VIN, anyone would be pleased to get the car at all, let alone earlier than expected. More important than the model year date is the date when the car rolled off the line. My 2019 Subaru Ascent has an 08/2019 vintage, so it is among the cars that have had numerous recalls and a transmission that could potentially frag itself into oblivion.

I put in an order for a '23 a week or so ago and their quoted timeframe was "3-5 months, but up to 12" which is pretty damn broad

Sounds like they’re not sure when ordering will open back it up (if it is closed) same thing happened to me last November. I’d keep asking questions constantly to make sure it is actually ordered. Even try multiple dealerships. Don’t get screwed like I did.

the way i understand it is that they take orders during the month but they dont actually submit them until the first week of the next month. unclear if this policy is the dealership's idea or if its the way the information is flowed in a broad sense
