So then you mean low? Seems like free mod for 4-5hp would meet your threshold regardless.

High, low, whatever.

I have no complaint about this mod. I have seen it circling in some groups. The video title is a bit misleading.

Wow
I can get 5 whole extra hp just by doing this mod? I hope I don't accelerate too quickly and get whiplash.

Oh, that's right, I have a '13 and it won't work for me.

Being a 13' it will probably blow up first.

As I said, at the end of the day, if you are a person that is going to try to get as much hp and tq out of your NA engine in a way that is inexpensive (free in fact) and that is more or less manufacturer rubber stamped (they don't even put it on cars in Japan and Australia), you should definitely watch the video and do this mod. In fact, it is likely when generic tunes come out that they will be specifically tuned with this mod having been done.

Of course, if you are a Cheerios-pee'r, and you just want to poo-poo everything said and done, then by all means, keep on posting how the video that says that taking this out results in peak HP gains of close to 10 and average hp gains of close to 5!!! It's kind of funny given the number of utterly useless, stupid and pointless threads on this website, you and your buddy Waffle decide to pee all over one that is actually valuable AND useful.

Also, I definitely think you and Waffle SHOULD NOT remove the charcoal filters from your second gens. Oh wait ...
I'm almost positive someone on here made a stripped down build thread (was it @Dadhawk?), throwing away everything that didn't need to be there in the name of saving weight to wring out as much HP-to-weight as they can from this platform. I'm also positive that they weighed EVERY piece part on a digital scale that they saved to make their build as calculated as possible. Not saying "everyone" is or isn't this person. Everyone has their own idea what they want from their car, as it should be.

That said, I'm the type of person that won't spend money on something that isn't broken. A quiet exhaust is "broken" to me, so I'll probably put a louder one on to "fix it". Simple bolt-ons for a naturally aspirated car at best MIGHT make throttle response feel more responsive, but as far as NA HP gains, for all practical purposes it's probably not worth it dollar wise if you want HP.

Forced induction on the other hand is a totally different flavor, where you WILL (should) tune the HP to your liking.

So take your potty talk to the Honda forums if you can't handle constructive discussions

That thread exists, but it's not mine.

Yep - there is zero to be gained from any mods on the Gen1 and Gen2 platforms unless you go FI.

Also you definitely don't want to spend the money this mod requires - it's way too expensive for you.

"5hp average, 10hp peak gains" on top of 228 stock power. What is that exactly??? 5hp is 2.19% gains, 10hp is 4.39% gains.

Unless you're operating a boosted setup and pushing massive HP (let's say 400+ for discussion), you won't notice anything besides placebo with the charcoal filter there or not. I'll bet a gallon of real maple syrup on it.

Even 2% to 4% gains on 400+ hp (8 to 16 hp with the same naturally aspirated assumption) is probably not noticeable either, but now we're talking totally different variables with forced induction.

Let it go, Elsa, let it gooooo
Which falls right into the definition of statistical noise like we've been trying to tell him.

Looking forward to the inevitable "I got 20HP and the engine revs freer" lightweight pully threads.
