Best product for removing water spots from windows?

Unfortunately, my car cannot be garaged on a regular basis and my car is starting to show hard water spots on the glass.

What are people using to remove these? I'm terrified of using anything like this that isnt specifically designed for use on automotive glass.

If already posted please direct me!

Automotive glass is still just glass. the exterior surface is not coated with anything special that you'd need to worry about.

Just use vinegar solution to get rid of the hard water spots, then perhaps an application of rain-x if you are so inclined. if the spots are really baked on, you can always go over it w/ an aggressive polishing compound and a rotary/PC.

My concern isnt for the glass, its for the rubber, weather stripping, and plastics that surround it. I will try the water and vinegar solution before I get too carried away.

Extra fine steel wool. Look, I expect some concern for my suggestion but research it. Youtube has more than one video on how to do it.

Check out CarPro Spotless.

0000 steel wool is a valid alternative but can lead to scratches when used improperly as it still is a physical abrasive. Glass is numerous times harder than the clear coat on your vehicle.

^ this. Use a razor blade at an angle with some type of lubricant such as detail spray. For trim, you can try the vinegar solution and then protecting it with a trim coating/sealant.

While you're working on the windows, is there a general consensus on what to coat the weather stripping at the top of the window with to prevent the windows from sticking to it? I'm getting what sounds like a window cracking as they break free from the rubber.
