When you say "needed 20psi" are you saying that they used a smaller pulley than you did?

Im wondering if this is what johan was asking: was a smaller pulley used or was the pulley the same between the cars, but more resistance in flow created more psi. The idea is that psi is a measure of resistance so if two engines have the same pulley but different mods or different flow then they could have different psi. Likewise, someone could keep the same boost pulley on the car but add cams, headers, midpipe, larger throttle body, etc and make more power while developing less boost, right?

Different pulley was used. 17psi pulley vs 20 psi pulley

@HarropOz @The Racers Line

Any CARB updates?

What plugs and gaps do you suggest?

Dumb question, but does the system sound any different at that boost level? Supercharger whine, air/boost noise, etc.? I would assume not due to the design, but I'm curious if it changes anything with high boost.

Talked with Racers Line Neal at the Norcal gathering this weekend. He did not have an update on the Harrop CARB process. Still ongoing?

Do you have a Harrop installed?

I have the kit, but it isn’t installed yet. I’m hoping they are still working on getting it CARB legalized. It would hurt their reputation to not get it passed, and it wouldn’t look great to continue to market the kit as CARB pending if they abandoned the process. For those reasons I doubt they have abandoned things. I asked Neal via PM, bringing up those points, but I never got a response.

How long has the pending been going on? It could be that since they are not a domestic company, they will be forced to play the waiting game. Versus someone like Jackson Racing or Edelbrock, who are local.

Maybe a few years? Definitely since it was released they have marketed that they were persuing CARB compliance.

Oh.. Wow that is a long time. Since I don't have to worry about CARB I never pay attention to the process length. But a few years does seem long.
