Tire Size Help!!!!!

I recently purchased some 18x9.5 +35 5x 100 rims and I don’t know what size tires to put on them, I want to look good and I’m also planning to lower my car about 1-3 inches. What tire size do you guys recommend?

. There's a whole subforum and the answers you seek are there. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so don't ask others to tell you what looks good.

Good day, adrianser .......

I see some of the guys were ah messen wich ya .....

The first thing I would suggest is to figure out what sized tires would comfortably fit your rims.

Then determine what type of tires you want (what you want the tires to do - DD, autocross, track).

I think you will find www.tirerack.com quite helpful.

First of all, just recognize that while these rims will fit, they will actually slightly decrease the performance of the car due to weight, friction, contact pressure. That said, if that's the look you want, then go for it. Generally, for a 9.5" rim you want the tire width between 245 and 275. Smaller than that and stretch will not make a good seal and you don't need larger. Then you need to calculate the profile. You want a circumference of about 77.35". That would make a 245/35/18 a good fit. I would not suggest anything wider.

If you are also going to lower the car with that wide a tire, you may have some fender rub given the width and offset. There are some here with more experience with wide tires on the BRZ, and you'll have to ask them about it. You may need to roll the fender a bit with a large drop.

This is a good tool for determining tire size. What other mods on the car? That will effect tire fitment.
