Keyless Locking

This is kinda of an obvious question but I'm a little lost here. In a noisy environment where I can't hear the horn, if you just want to use the handle slide lock only, how do you know the alarm is armed? It's not like I can try to open the door since it will unlock. How does one be sure my baby is safe?

If I hold my fingers or my hand on the handle, I could kinda feel the door lock locking. Other than that, I just use the key fob and look and the turn signals blinking once.

I want to say that I saw that you can turn up the sound level using the Techstream cable and software or go to your dealer and ask them to do it. I will try to check later.

But then again, Subaru dealer is charging $100 to change those configurations.
