pretty sure its metal on metal rubbing in the transmission, maybe the throwout bearing going bad, i can replicate it now sitting in neutral with the clutch pressed in and reving the engine so im going to toyota fri and see what they say.

I don't understand how that would make a chirping noise though... I can dump the clutch and we're good to go... I can shift nice and we're good to go... sometimes.

But, that inbetween area.... you might be on to something.

The valve is designed to avoid extremely harsh engagement of the clutch. When the clutch is being slipped, there's backpressure being pushed on the valve which causes it to make the quacking or humming noise.
