Wow this hasn't been a problem for several model years. Be interesting to see what they have to say.

They had a very similar perplexed response to the issue as well.

I Initially tried to polish it out assuming they were stuck on water spots, but to no avail.

I'll snap a photo of it later this week when I have a chance to clean the car.

if you used a mechanical buffer you may have polished off your UV clear coat. Also, the condensation could just be from a poorly installed gasket

I hit it quickly by hand with a soft ply microfiber cloth.

I sanded the oil dip stick so I can get a more accurate reading.
Original oil change took 5.4 quarts as per the bottle reading.

The level was 3MM below the Full line, added 150ml as per the level on the asmoil bottle, then it read 3-4MM above. Sanded it and rechecked at the gas station and a separate parking lot. Still reading the same.
That is recommended as per manual, There must have been a tiny bit of oil that didn't come out during the drain process.

EDIT: got underneath this morning and corrected the levels, sitting perfectly now

i don't know about that honestly, small debris is gonna fly through anyway like rocks, salt or whatever but anything big enough that would damage the rad etc would just go straight through the grill wouldn't it? ive hit a small squirrel and that thing pushed through the grille and i had to pop it back into its clips

But it didn't go through your radiator. I agree at least some small debris will penetrate at full speed, some will bounce off the grill. Larger impacts would at least be mitigated. I dunno yet... Nothing says race car like no grill and random heat exchangers up front but if I hit a bird it would be pretty inconvenient

i guess you're just gonna have to keep a sacrificial oil cooler up in front of the rad/intercooler

I made my last payment on the FRS Wednesday…..but it just sunk in today that I'll have that much less of an expense every month to not have to deal with. It probably won't fully sink in for some weeks from now.

**Trying to not watch any youtube on '14-'16 Cayman info , and doing my best to continue to enjoy the FR-S

It's getting crowded. It was just an oil cooler but now I have a transmission cooler too. Gonna be tough to fit a turbo intercooler in a few years...
