Being that Toyota and BMW are working on this project together, with the latter to give birth to the Z4’s successor, rumored to be called the Z5, some voices are questioning whether the coupe we’ve seen in spy shots before, and in this footage now, is the Supra or possibly, a hardtop Z5. Car Magazine is among those who believe it might be the latter, while (most) other mediums, including the usually well-informed on German automakers, Automotorundsport, voted for the former.

That's pretty ugly.

What's this recent obsession with huge overt grill openings? Most of these cars will go down in history as a low point in vehicle styling.

What's more is that when taken with a cellphone from that close, everything get's distorted near the edges of the frame, again not what you see when you look at the car in person.

While I don't think this car will look anywhere as good as the concept, I don't think this picture is a fair representation of what the car looks like in person.

The kidney grilles?

Probably trying to incorporate styling cues from the 507.

If you're referring to the lower grille, my guess is it's just answering the average person's desire for ever more aggressive designs. I always laugh when I read comments on youtube for cars like the Camaro saying "it needs to look more aggressive!" I don't know what these people want TBH. Maybe these car manufacturers need to start equipping these cars with nail studded baseball bats and brass knuckles for door handles.

It could be the fact that cars have larger engines with more power, which requires more cooling, which requires more airflow, which requires larger grills.

With that dash I can see why the automatic transmission is the preferred choice.

The leaked pictures are of the M40i model. The normal 20i model should not have this aggressive front bumper design. Overall, I like the new car and it looks to be a natural evolution of the previous Z4 model.

It seems to have vents in the same places as the Supra, and they are described in this video at least as functional

It's official...do not want. It's not bad but something about it I just don't like, and it's not something a coupe form will fix. Honestly, in the convertible format it just looks like something Biff would drive to the country club to meet up with the other Biffers on a late Saturday morning, particularly in the gray/silver color.
