Smell the exhaust, if it smells sweet then you're burning coolant for sure. This isn't condensation by chance is it? How cold is it out? Check the coolant level and look for any external leaks. Do you have a wideband?

It might be only leaking under boost, boost causes increased increased cylinder pressure and in turn causes the leak. I can't stress this enough, GET A WIDEBAND!!!!

I just did a head gaskets on an ej that would only burn coolant when boosting when it would lift the head. If you stayed out of boost it was fine. But it consumed coolant and dumped sweet smelling smoke just after boost. You need to stop driving it and figure out what's wrong. Get a wideband and get a tune.

I think @Dipstik-sportech means get a wideband like yesterday, not eventually. They aren't that expensive...

Check your AFR's sometimes if your running lean it can produce brief white smoke at heavy throttle.

White = Coolant/Condensation
Blue = Oil
Black = Fuel

If it is condensation then it should only briefly occur upon startups and not while the car is running/warmed up. It can be hard to tell the tint between white and blue smoke so might also get a friend to give a second opinion.

I'd start with a visual inspection of the oil/coolant. First checking oil/coolant levels. Then look for any cross contamination. If you have a catch can, also check it for coolant as well.

If your headgasket is leaking you ought to have bubbles (while running) or lower coolant levels than you should due to the leak. Keep in mind if it is a small leak it may be hard to notice the coolant levels drop. A leak down test should be done which usually involves pushing air into the spark plugs to check for bubbles through the radiator car. I'm not sure if/how you could do one on the FA20 without raising/lowering the engine due to the limited space.

If your headgasket is blown or about to go you should also notice higher oil temperatures soon followed by possible overheating.
