What tire PSI are you using

I've noticed it doesn't take much to get the tires on my FR-S howling in a turn. I'm curious what tire PSI other people are using. The max for these tires is around 50 PSI but my dealer had it at 32. I do think the noise is a function of the tires rolling under, not a lack of overall grip. Anyone arrive at the perfect pressure yet?

It looks like 45 PSI in the front, 42 in the rear is a good combination.

Personally I think the tires suck for grip and I think the noise is likely a function of lack of said grip. Feel free to add more air to try and get them not to squeal. IIRC mine were around 38 psi all around when I picked mine up, squealed badly any time I cornered hard. Stock tires are off the car now (less than 2 weeks after I bought it)

I find the front tires howl way too easily under hard cornering. I’ve added air pressure to stiffen the sidewalls in hopes of eliminating this problem. With 45 pounds in the fronts, it seems to be improving.

I thought the same thing about the grip, initially. Now that I’m putting more miles on these tires, I think I’ll be happy with them. The level of traction they offer gives more opportunity for power-oversteer, which I really like.

I've run the stock tires for the past couple of auto-x's .38-40 lbs might be ok for the fronts, but the (stock) rear tires seem to want more like 33-36lbs. More just rounds off the tire and makes for more fun than speed. Take this as what it is, though - one guy's very narrow scope of experience.

I knew the stock tires had low grip, but I was surprised how easily the broke loose and made sound. I checked the tire pressure yesterday and the wheels were at 31 psi. The recommendation in the door is 35 psi. I am surprised Subaru delivered the car without adjust tire pressure to the recommendation. Anyway, I set the tire pressire to 36 psi. That helped on the tire noise and the steering feels a little crisper as well.
