Kids and their eggs...

I guess this post is more of a rant, but what can I do?

Last night I was watching Spiderman 2 at the Union Landing Century Theatre in Union City at 1030-1pm ish.

I come out to find my car eggd with 3 to 4 eggs

They Must have done it around 1130 12 when theres less cars out since my car was all by itself. I went home and pressure hosed as much as I can and used water/vinegar for the one bad spot, but sadly one of the eggs left an "egg shell ring of death" on top of my rear driver fender .....The kids might have been egging other cars too in the parking lot or maybe they targeted only my BRZ.....Subaru hate?

I hate kids.....cant even bring my car out late just to enjoy a movie on a sat night.

Just wondering if you guys think touchup paint would help now. My main concern is if the paint would start peeling in the sun and spread to the whole area of my car

If you cleaned it off properly, it should be fine. My RSX(to give an idea of paint quality) was egged on the A-pillar and it didn't even rust with less than proper care(a wash every couple months). Get some Dr. Colorchip and call it a day.

Kids? or an angry ex-girlfriend?

Either way, that sucks man. At least it didn't sit in the sun. Sounds like it's time for a full detail. Paint decontamination, claybar, polish, etc. Another excuse to spend the whole day with you car.

A funny story...

One time when my late uncle was a teenager back in the 70s, he and his friend had been enjoying a burger and fries in a fast food joint and came outside to find that someone had smeared a cheeseburger all over his friend's car. The friend started ranting and said something about getting his hands on the asshole who did it.

Both these guys were maybe 140 pounds soaking wet, so this big muscular guy sitting with his girlfriend in a car nearby thought it was safe to say, "I did that. What you gonna do about it?"

My uncle and his friend didn't say anything back. They just grabbed this guy who outweighed either of them by 40 pounds at least, dragged him out of his car and started beating the shit out of him while the girl shrieked. The guy tried to fight back, but he was no match for my wiry little uncle and his friend. By the end of it the guy was on the ground in a fetal position, bloodied and sobbing and repeating, "It wasn't me! It wasn't me! I was just kidding!"

Then they felt kinda bad about it, so they threw the guy in their back seat, drove him to the hospital and dumped him on the pavement outside the ER door. They never did find out who really did it, but they felt better anyway.

I really don't know if there is anything you really can do to protect the paint.

The previous owner of my beater Jeep told me that it was egged during mischief night back in the late 90s and you can still see a perfect egg mark on the driver's side door. Who knows if he cleaned it or not though, but it's interesting to see it still being a very noticeable blemish in the paint 15+ years later.

Pics? Got egged once in my old car while driving. Still pisses me off when I think about it… But I believe in karma. I'm sure the kids will get what's coming to them.

I can't say I've ever been egged but I was going about 55 down a backroad one day with my gf's car and an SUV passed me and the kid in the backseat threw a full milkshake out the window and it splattered the whole side of the car.

95% of me wanted to turn around, PIT maneuver them and beat some ass

Oh man that would make me angry man. As long as you cleaned it off relatively quickly there should hopefully be no serious damage done. Nothing a good detail/polish wouldn't fix at least.

Sorry to hear this. This is the kind of thing that always irritates me. Some people just suck.

Back when my wife and I were in our early 20s and relatively poor (college, starting careers, etc.), my wife purchased her first non-POS car. It was a blue 15th anniversary Mazda Miata. It was used, but it was new for her and she absolutely loved it. After having it like 1-week she left the top down when she ran into the pet store. We came out and someone had thrown a full milkshake on the interior. It was covering dash, seats, carpet, console, everything. We cleaned it as best we could, but it permanently stained the suede seat insets. That was like 10 years ago and it still makes me angry. Anyway, sorry to turn this into a group therapy thread. I'm with you on the hating stupid people though.

Since we are bringing up stories, one time in my Civic I was going about 45 on a commercial road and heard a loud sound on my passenger window. Scared the shit out of me, I was sure the glass broke. Took me a second to figure out what it was, but it was a freaking pink paintball… Scared to think what would've happened if the window was rolled down.

The lack of respect some people have amazes me. OP if you find out who did the egging let me know..I'll take a nice fresh dump on their car and use their seats to wipe.

Edit: Kidding, obviously.

Edit 2: Or am I?

Post some pics. You might be able to do some paint correction.
