Question for you - do you run the TPMS on both sets of wheels or just the factory wheels, and if so how does the car handle that?
Im not sure what tpms system the 86 uses, but in my Scion iM, i had the OEM wheels with the TPMS sensors, and the winters without any sensors.
I just lived with having that tire pressure light on all winter.
I imagine the 86 would act the same. You'd just have the TPMS light on all the time.

I probably doing the same thing this time around, the sensors are expensive.....

I dont think its a huge deal because the light only tells you that one of the tires has different pressure, and its not a system where it tells you what each individual tire pressure is.

So currently, I have not purchased the new wheels yet, as I mentioned I look forward to doing this next year and putting summer tires on them. At this point, the warm weather will be fading, so there is no need for me to rush the purchase now.

As for the TPMS sensors, though I am a perfectionist, I actually don't have any in my current aftermarket wheels. So the light is always on. I have found found myself completely forget about it at this point after owning the wheels for about a couple years now. So based on that idea, I may not bother with them in the new wheels either. But if I was going to do it, I would just get them on both sets and let it be over with. No point in having TPMS on one set and not the other the way I see it.

I'm going to guess that the GR86 will register 2 sets of TPMS like the new BRZ does, so having them in each set makes sense. We will also get tire pressures as well this time.

No sure where to post this. But I was wondering whether the stock gr86 brz has pos or neg scrub radius. Maybe I reading too much into a marketing photo. But it does look slightly positive.

I am interested cos I wanna put my et42 tc105n onto the gr86 brz but dun want to f up the scrub radius ie steering feel and kickback (which I like hahah). worst is if it is slightly neg and the et42 offset ie 6mm more poke causes the scrub radius to become zero.

So looking at all the press release it seems GR86 still gets 7inch wheel width instead of the 7.5 that the 2022 BRZ has in all trims. Is this an error or confirmed?
