Well you won’t have to worry about bears if you take Ultra. He out weighs them.

Oh and he WILL get lost so keep a close eye on him.

Should be fun bike. I was looking into one as a track toy.

One of the stories I think I mentioned last week. Basically since he was German, he could understand the Nazi's at the POW camp his captured unit was at. Since it was the end of the war, they were debating about killing him and the rest of his unit. I guess somehow due to him being German and having history there, he was able to convince them to leave them alive using the justification that they'd be brought up on prisoner of war charges and stuff.

I wish I knew more of the actual concrete details about it but I'm not sure he ever had that stuff recorded (except maybe in an official debrief but I'm sure that's classified). Just that he was able to convince them not to do it. So he saved his unit at that POW camp.

Stalag something. I can't remember the exact camp designation.

Here's one informal source that might help:

Thanks! I tried searching his name but nothing came up. I'm assuming it's not a comprehensive database?

I thought I had a picture of the frame containing his medals and some other paperwork but I don't. Need to see if my parents can take one for me. Not sure if it's them or my aunt and uncle who have it now.

Yeah, I found four databases but all are incomplete in some way. This one is said to complement the other but involves running an .exe:

Reminded me of the time my then girlfriend wanting to go shopping for a new bikini during a Maui vacation. I hate shopping but we only had the one rental car so I went along and sat in a chair outside of the six busy changing rooms. My chair was next to several full body length mirrors placed so the ladies could come out to pose just for me (in my dreams). My Ray Ban G15's were very helpful. It was all I could do to keep my tongue in my head and for once didn't mind my girlfriend taking her time.

You plan your kite fighting out that far ahead?

We'll make time for @Tcoat this fall.

We'll pack all the fixin's and have a picnic. I'll bring the fitty cal desert eagle for backup.

I don't actually own one but they're fun as hell to shoot. Hand cannons!
