Issue is the shoes not the pedal. Hop in any car with shoes like that and you're not going to feel much. I wear big old boots, dress shoes, sneakers, etc which may not have the best response but you make it work & why I have specific shoes for the times I just wanna drive. Different shoes for different purposes just like tools.
