I love old school/retro styling and these wheels are very nice, but I'm on the fence on how they look on this car. Also maybe a little wider but either way it's great that they're available.

you can't in the USA yet, but we are working with Mr.Hayashi himself to bring a cost-effective solution for importing them to the USA and Canada, and thereby making it less expensive in the end for all of the world outside of Japan. Stay tuned!

Wheel weight is 19.4 lbs (US) per wheel for the 17x7.5 you see here, and that's without tires of course.

That's heavy for a 17x7.5 wheel. I have some 18x9.5 on the way that weigh 19lbs...

Man... I with I had these 17" Hayashi wheels in 0mm offset or so for my Cressida Wagon.
Here are my 15" Hayashi wheels on my 85 Cressida Wagon with 95 LS400 1UZFE swap. They needed 10mm spacers to clear the 4-pot 300zx front brakes. |

Very nice, I always longed for Hayashi's on my mx5. I am glad they have released them for the gt86 and gone up to 17", they look great on your car and I like the fact they are close to original size. Seeing as he stuck with 17", is there any reason why Mr Hayashi chose a +35 offset rather than closer to stock other than for looks? (thinking of the TRD SF2's which are a +46 and 7.5", albeit an 18") Will you also be supplying to the uk?

I like these rims mucho! Especially since it's a throwback to the older Hayashi's I find on old Datsuns and early Toyotas. I think a set would look great on the FR-S next to the 83 Supra, 73 240Z, and 69 1600 Roadster.
Again, another new rim has me re-thinking about stock replacements! Such a problem to have! Eric G |

the quality shows though, as these wheels needed minimal balance weights and the finish is nice.

The 35mm offset was chosen for decent usability and function, as well as fitments that can apply to other Subaru and Toyota cars as well. The Prius version has a 42 offset and 7" width as an added choice and closer to stock wheel if one chooses to use that.

Already mentioned to him, as well as Command and Yayoi. However, this is a very small operation and company, almost done as a hobby by Mr.Hayashi himself and it's more about his choices and the legacy than to invest millions on new inventory systems. LOL!

I was thinking more like leave the 17" as is, and request more like 18x8.0J +33 and 18x9.0J +32 with stepped barrel to really make an impact. (Which...I already mentioned to them too... But we'll see...)
