I personally would suggest the Perrin system. I like the way it looks, sounds, and it has gained the most power from any "catback" that I have seen. Plus the quality and the company's Subaru background.

If you do, go with non resonated. The resonated version is way too quiet.

Yea, that's what I have heard. My only concern would be if later on he wanted to add a catless front pipe or header. That could bring the sound from perfect, to annoying. But again, its whatever he likes.

The Greddy intake is a private label system made by Afe. R&D was done by afe, and then greddy tested / approved it before allowing it to market. To me that would seem like more R&D. I am not promoting their system over another but please do not post information you find without fact checking it.

Airaid is an American made intake that also keeps the sound duct. It also come with a plug if you dont want to use it.

Could any of you guys who haven't installed the Takeda intake post a close-up of the sound duct like above? I wonder how it looks pre-drilled (if there is a demarcation of the circle that needs to be cutout).

400$ is alot of money for an intake. I would like to hear more opinions and see the Dyno sheet before and after the ECU has had time to re-learn.

Isn't there an FT86Club price deal somewhere? It's been said elsewhere on here that it was going at the same price as the AIRAID's intro pricing which was around $200 after rebate.
