1JZGTE SWAP [QUESTIONS]

Hi all,

First, our country having big tax on import cars so please if you intend to say something like get a manual or get another car.... just save it....

So my questions are

1) 1JZ VVTI Swap, what box we use ? R154 with ori GT86 rear differential and custom drive shaft ?

2) Wiring ECU, What function will be lost after 1jz swap ? such as ABS, Traction control etc. As I watch a video from youtube they claimed that their 2JZ swap still keep everything including traction control...

3) Is removing the transmission support for 1JZ transmission is reversable ?

Which mean I could weld the bracket back to the place and swap back the stock for everything ?

I run Emtron KV8 for engine management, custom wiring harness. The only EMS that I'm aware of that keep the CAN system is Emtron, Motec, and Haltech. If money is no object, throw a Motec setup on there - Emtron also works but I'm the only JZ platform FRS chassis in the world so you'll have to take my word for it until I get the car back.

Your goals should dictate what transmission you end up with. I'm running a fully tap 6466 on my fully built 10:1 2JZ - an R154 wouldn't have worked for me.
