Rear bumper defuser vents

Hard to get a good picture, as the right one looks a little off but in person it looks even. I just wanted a different look will try and get a better picture soon.

Wonder how functional they are. I would spray paint them black or a color to match.

No where close to a properly designed diffuser, or even a half bumper cut. It's something drag racers started (couldn't tell you why).

Of course its not a proper design its factory lol...I only did it to be different plus I think its cool looking and I thing the half bumper cuts look like shit. I have yet to see a good looking defuser. Not expecting what I did to give me any less wind drag but, it could the rear defuser or bumper I should say is a parachute. Here is a little better pic.

I thought about painting them but I like the way it stands out. The whole point was to look different.

When you have an aftermarket/custom exhaust that doesn't have that huge, deep transverse mounted muffler designed to work with the bumper, the rear end is definitely better planted at high speed with the fake diffusor section removed. Much more unstable feeling at high speeds if you leave it on, very noticeable on the stock tires. I'll take function over subjective looks ... though I do think the car looks better with the fake diffusor section removed.

Vents you did look nice - plan to put any additional ones on it further from center?

I think of this like personal bling, beats hello kitty on the back window.
He likes it why not let him do it. No functional gain just a fun DIY.

Yeah I get function over looks...I just don't care for the looks of a cut bumper but than again, I haven't seen one in person. I have a muffler delete so that was my reason to cut vents well that and just going for looks. I may cut some more further out towards the muffler tips.

Not sure what color your car is, but maybe red to really stick out.
