I was so very stupid about the trunk thing that I've mentioned before. I've read the manual.. There is a trunk open button My first car that has this button..
I've driven a Renault Clio today. It felt like driving a minivan a very stupid one.. I'm in love with this car But it draws too much attention. I had this car: and I don't remember anybody looking at me. Now, where ever I look, I see somebody is staring at me or the car. Saturday all the teenagers living around came in front of my house and examined the car! I have complicated feelings about this, I like it and hate it. I have a sociophobia, feel embarrassed most of the time. |

Congrats on the new car! As someone who's had a World Rally Beauty for 7 years/120.000km I think you're going to love it. You'll find a lot of practicality when those rear seats fold down, and more fun than any other car on the road.
Although manuals are always preferable, I actually really like the auto in this car. Since it's so light, communicative, and responsive you don't need the additional action of rowing through the gears to have a good time. P.S. I'm surprised the trunk closed with the key in it. One time I accidentally closed the key in the trunk: The trunk wouldn't latch, and the car immediately beeped at me (to prevent me from locking myself out). Could this be a setting? |

I often feel the same way. (just finished my 3rd week of ownership) but they are looking for the same reason you first did--It's a nice-looking car. I don't like drawing attention to myself either, but I do like driving this car. You've got it, you belong in it, you deserve it, you earned it, so enjoy it. The torque will keep you humble and from driving like a douche. |

Interesting read, it went from BRZ or Fiesta ST, to drag racing Camrys. Best way to look at the BRZ straight line performance is like a warm hatch i.e. Polo GTI, Fiesta ST, Veloster turbo. They’re around the same mark in straight line performance as a twin. Better than average but not hot hatch/WRX territory.
But we buy the car for the handling, driving feel and fun. If you worry about what it can beat in a straight line, the car isn’t for you. Unless you turbo or supercharge it. 0-60 (or 0-100 where I’m from) is in who gives a sh*t. Congrats Korhun on your BRZ purchase. |

People love the car. Whenever they comment on it I make sure they understand it is a good looking rear wheel drive Toyota Corolla. My little campaign to make sure no one thinks it is worth stealing.

True it definitely looks faster than it is, maybe that’s the problem. I always wonder why people don’t complain about the MX5/Miata’s power as it has a similar ethos. It’s like it gets let off the hook.

There are a ton of slower cars that get off the hook or even considered fast. This is something that has alway seemed odd to me. Our cars “feel” slow though so that probably has a lot to do with it. |

The miata gets destroyed. It will always be the perfect hairdresser's car. These are the same type of idiots that drove massive tanks that guzzled gas during the gas crisis while people with brains switched to cars that could actually get decent gas mileage.

Yeah I’ve definitely heard that before, I guess I was thinking more from an auto journalism point of view. They don’t seem to complain about the power on the MX5/Miata like they do the twins.

I see the decision this way:
Do I want a souped up econobox or a sports car? BTW, I have 173,000 on my 2013 FR-S and am very pleased with it. |
